On guard

“You have nothing because you

stand there arms folded , chest out

Leaving everything hidden, within a lie

To protect what came forth between the horace eye”,

Is what they told me..but according to what life has showed me

I have nothing because I stand here alone

After trusting a life where they made it look like a place to call home

There I was left, holding

All that I owned

Nothing, but clothing,

wishing upon stars that I had my own

while being stripped

As those who so loved, disguised while stealing from each stitch

I stand here,

Arms folded, chest out with scars shown

Looking bare in the eye of a horace

Making the land a place to roam.
